Sorry, that shopping mall WiFi cut out on me completely. I managed to get to another public WiFi to briefly get back to you, but this one is even less reliable and less secure than the shopping mall one. Hi there Jared. I wish it was a "good morning". I was on my way to my new apartment last night to see of the electricity had finally been hooked up (no word from the apartment manager so I went to flip some switches) when I stopped in at my favorite bar to have a couple of drinks to celebrate my good fortune. I ended up getting totally wasted and even bought a couple of rounds for everyone with the last credit card I had that had any credit margin on it. It only had $500 credit left available and the were only about 20 people in the bar at the time, so it was gone after 2 rounds. I've got a MASSIVE hangover now and I feel like I might puke any minute now. I had to call in sick, so at least I have the rest of the day off, but I am not feeling good right now. I really fell off the wagon last night. :-(

Not so great. Sorry, I am pretty banged up, no broken bones thankfully, but I smashed a couple of teeth and need emergency dental work. Hi. I am feeling better. The pain-killers seem to be working well. I was lucky I didn't break any bones, other than my teeth of course. I need to get dental work done ASAP and the doctor thinks I may have a concussion. I was unable to be online much yesterday due to moving in to my new apartment. There is no internet installed yet and it may be a few days before I can get it hooked up. I am still looking at different internet providers for the best deal. Sorry I couldn't do anything about the payment yesterday. When I was moving stuff into the apartment the landlord kept reminding me that he wanted to be paid on the 1st of the month, so I caved in and wrote him a cheque. I don't want to get off to a bad start with him. I am looking into pay day loans to see if I can get a short term loan against my upcoming pay cheques. I have never used such a service before but it may be juts what I need to complete the payment. I had *just* enough to cover the payment, which is almost $2200 with the exchange rate & Moneygram fees, before caving in to the landlord. If I can't get a payday loan to cover that I will try other options. I have already discreetly sounded out friends and family about getting a short term loan, without telling them about the lottery of course, but so far no luck. Worst case scenario is I will just have to wait until my next pay cheque, which is just over a week and a half way. Thankfully there are NO immediate expenses (such as rent) tied to that pay cheque. Well, if I can make a partial payment of $800, it should be easier to get a loan for that amount than a loan for almost $2200 CDN. From what the doctors tell me the operation was successful in stopping the swelling. I am not an expert but it seemed that he was bleeding inside his head and this was putting pressure on his brain. I would not be surprised if his pain killer overdose was caused by taking too many pills to combat the pain caused by this brain swelling. I will try to visit Robin on Monday or Tuesday, so I will keep you informed of what his condition is. We are all praying for a quick recovery.

Hi Jared, sorry to be so slow to get back to you. I was exhausted and slept most of the day and still have no internet in my new apartment. I tried making a payment via Western Union last night, but they told me pretty much the same thing that Moneygram told me earlier. Due to the major disruptions caused by hurricane Hermine they cannot guarantee money transfers to Florida right now. They suggest that I wait until things were more reliable before trying to send money to people Florida. There were actually other people in the Western Union outlet trying to send money to family members affected by the hurricane and they were NOT happy. I will check on the situation Tuesday morning. Hopefully Moneygram or Western Union will have resolved their Florida problems by then.

Not good. Like I said, I slept most of the day after being exhausted by trying to make the payments at Moneygram and Western Union yesterday. I have not been online all day. I had to go to a nearby Tim Horton's coffee shop just to be able to get online after I woke up. Even though I did not break any bones in my fall (other than two teeth...) the serious concussion and subsequent operation to relieve pressure on my brain took a lot out of me. It may take months to fully recover. That $100k should come in handy for helping ease the recovery.
